Santa Clara 2026 🏆: What an EPIC Ride! And we are celebrating all of it!
Whew. What a year. What a ride.
There are years when a community celebrates a milestone.
And then there are years when you look around and think:
Wait… did all of this really happen in our little city?
Welcome to 2026 in Santa Clara.
The world came to our city in a way we have never experienced before. Two world-class sporting events brought millions of visitors, fans and global attention to Santa Clara in one single year—and made history along the way.
Historic? Absolutely.
And here's the thing: We're not done celebrating yet.
It's America 250. Santa Clara Style.
2026 is also America 250, giving us another reason to look backward, look around, and celebrate what comes next. Because Santa Clara has a remarkable habit of producing people who do remarkable things.
Take swimming.
For 75 years, the Santa Clara Swim Club has been building a legacy that reaches far beyond our city limits.
80 Olympians. Think about that. Eighty.
The club has helped produce more Olympians than any other swim club in the world.
Let that sink in. That isn't just a sports statistic.
It's a story about discipline, resilience, coaches, families, kids with big dreams—and a community that keeps believing in the next generation.
This year, we're celebrating that greatness.

And swimming isn't the only story. Santa Clara's history is filled with champions, innovators, veterans, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, athletes, volunteers, families and community builders.
Different backgrounds.
Different languages.
Different generations.
Different dreams.
Somehow, they all become part of the same story. That's our DNA.
And perhaps that's why the Santa Clara Parade of Champions feels so uniquely Santa Clara.
🎉 57 Years of Champions
On October 3, 2026, we're celebrating the 57th Santa Clara Parade of Champions & Festival.
And this isn't simply a parade.
It's a giant community reunion.
It's our America 250: Stars, Stripes & Champions celebration.
It's Olympians and veterans.
It's Grand Marshals and mascots.
It's marching bands, dancers, classic cars, floats, youth performers and community heroes.
It's the Community Village with a 4H Petting Zoo.
It's the Sports FAN Zone with a Community open mic stage.
It's the Street Food Market and around the world Cuisine.
It's live music.
It's kids running around with giant smiles.
It's neighbors bumping into neighbors.
It's longtime Santa Clarans seeing traditions they remember from childhood—and a new generation discovering them for the first time.
And maybe that's the magic.
You don't have to explain Santa Clara.
You just have to experience it.
Because where else can you go from celebrating Super Bowl 60, America 250, to cheering for 80 Olympians, to watching a World Cup legacy unfold, to seeing a WWII veteran's legacy honored, to eating great food and your favorite Stan's Donut, watching Snoopy dance, high-five a Storm Trooper, and then finding yourself standing next to two Soccer Legends or banging the drum with Krazy George?
That's Santa Clara.
❤️ A Legacy That Keeps Moving
The Parade itself has a story of resilience.
Founded in 1945 by WWII veteran Larry Marsalli to welcome home his fellow veterans, the tradition eventually went on hiatus after 50 years. Then, 8 years ago, our all-volunteer nonprofit had a dream, with the support of the community and sponsors who believed it too, we brought it back. In 2019, the Parade and Festival returned. Joyfully.
And now here we are.
But there's something special about this year's Parade.
In October 2025, the Santa Clara Parade of Champions Festival helped serve as the official community kickoff to what would become an extraordinary year for our city.
We were looking ahead.
We knew something big was coming.
And then 2026 happened.
The world came to Santa Clara.
Champions came to Santa Clara.
Millions of people experienced our city.
And our community had milestone after milestone to celebrate.
Now, in October 2026, we're back in historic downtown because that's where it started.
This time, we're bringing the year home to the downtown.
What began with anticipation has become a year of milestones, champions and memories.
We started this incredible year together. Now let's celebrate the ride together.
And what better way to wrap it up than with the Santa Clara Parade of Champions Festival?
57th Parade.
America 250.
75 years of Santa Clara Swim Club greatness.
80 Olympians. Even NBC is coming to the parade with their BAY ALL DAY Float because they are THE U.S. Broadcaster for the U.S. Olympics since the 1964 Tokyo Games. Full Circle.
2026 a year when the world came to Santa Clara. And a community still saying:
What's next?
That's the part we love.
We look back and say:
“Whew. What a ride.”
And then we look forward.
Because the next champion is already out there.
The next Olympian.
The next community leader.
The next entrepreneur.
The next volunteer.
The next kid watching the Parade who suddenly thinks:
“Maybe I can do something great, too.”
