What day and time does the SCPOC festivities start?


The Santa Clara Parade of Champions and related events are held the second Saturday in October 8 am to 5 pm. View current PARADE INFORMATION. The Parade is free to attend. The Parade starts at 11am and runs until 1pm.




What is the Parade Route and time of road closure?


The Parade Route area will be closed to traffic from 10am to 1pm. Should you park inside the parade route you will not be able to leave until the Parade is over. If you want in an out privileges it is recommended to park outside of the Parade Route area and walk to the Festivities.




What about seating?


Seating is not provided, please bring your own chair to sit along the route.

There is bleacher seating is located on Monroe Street in the Windmere Parking lot across from the Main Event Stage area. Seating is reserved for Event Sponsors and their families. Available seating can be purchased HERE.

Do you have a schedule of events?


Yes! Please view the event program and schedule of events HERE. In general, the following event day programming includes:

  • Farmer's Market on Jackson Street with fun street food – from falafels to pastry!

  • Homestead Community Village with booths ran by our community with a Kid Zone, Artisans, local nonprofits. Find out more HERE.

  • Local stores, dining, and businesses in the Franklin Square from Lafayette to Lincoln Street will be open for you.

The Parade:

  • 10:30 am Opening Ceremonies--Nation Anthem

  • 11 am Parade Kick-off

  • 11 am to 1 pm Santa Clara Parade of Champions

Immediately following the Parade, join us from 1:30 to 5 pm for "Salsa on the Square"!




What is the Homestead Community Village and how do I participate?


The Homestead Community Village is a community based event that showcases many of the small businesses and nonprofits that make our community so great.

There will be Kid zone, local artisans, nonprofits, and much more. To learn more and find out how to participate, click HERE.

Where is the VIP and Handicap/ADA Parking located?


ADA and VIP parking will be located at Mission City Federal Credit Union located at 1391 Franklin St., Santa Clara, CA. Please show your Handicap Sticker or VIP Parking Pass to Enter.




Where can I park?


Public Parking is readily available as is street parking outside the Parade Route zone.

Santa Clara University is offering free parking at their North Parking Garage (1063 Alviso Street off Benton Street) for Saturday, 10/09 with the following restrictions:

  • FREE PARKING UNTIL 1 PM. After 1pm, we ask that any vehicles associated with the parade please leave safely.
  • Parade Parking is reserved for the FIRST 3 FLOORS of the garage ONLY.
  • Following the Parade, community is asked to exit back through the garage to The Alameda, Franklin, Sherman, Palm and onto El Camino Real.

Was there public notification of the event?

Do I need to wear a mask?


The State and County strongly encourage the use of face coverings in crowded outdoor settings.
