Drum Roll…Congratulations Winners of the 54th SC Parade of Champions!!!

Each year our community looks forward to congratulating the winners of our Santa Clara Parade of Champions Community Contest. The Parade has a long history of Band and performance Competitions. Since 2019 we have invited professional judges from the NorCal Band Association as well as a secret Community Judge who collectively score our entrants based on a set criterion in a variety of Categories. The tabulations are final, and without further ado here is the short list of our 2023 SCPOC Winners—Congratulations on your bragging rights!!!

Community Marching Bands: First Place is the SC Portuguese Band of Santa Clara (AKA Filarmonica Uniao Portuguesa de Santa Clara). Second Place is the Silicon Valley Pipe Band. Third Place is Tian Guo Marching Band.

High School Marching Bands: First Place is Paradise High School. Second Place is Alisal Union School District “All Star Color Guard, Drumline and Cheer Team.

Middle School Marching Bands: First Place is Union Middle School Tiger Marching Band

Drill/Dance Teams: First Place is Tai Ji Men Academy. Second Place is Uzumaru Yasakoi Dance Team, Third Place is Ensamble and Academy Folclorico Colibri

Dance Teams: First Place is Santa Clara Performance and Elite Dance Team. Second Place is Volare Studio. Third Place is Wilcox High School Dance and the Cheer and Song Pom—both performed together!

School/Community Marchers: First Place Santa Clara Historic Home Tour. Second Place is Saint Clare School. Third Place is Santa Clara Parents Nursery School.

Community Floats: First Place is Silicon Valley Community Media (Ding Ding TV) theme was “Asian Stories”—All of Belong Here!

Noncommercial Floats: First Place is CA Sikhs, IK Onkar Bridges with Volunteers from Silicon Valley Gurdwara. Second Place is a tie for SC Rotary Club and SC Artistic Swimming. Third Place was River of Life Foundation.

Military Vehicles: First Place is WWII Combat Jeep owner Allen Sinor. Second Place is American Legion 419. Third Place is Spirit of ‘45 Bay Area with their collection of WWII Jeeps.

Classic Vehicles: First Place is Leo Martinez 1937 Chevrolet Truck. Second Place is tie for Donald Gagliasso 1928 Ford Model A and the Santa Clara Corvette Car Club. Third Place is Ron Smith and Lori Good 1961 Corvette.

Equestrian Category: Brotherhood of Saint Anthony Santa Clara Council 1
