Thousands Celebrate at the 56th Santa Clara Parade of Champions and Sports FAN Zone!
What a day for Santa Clara! 🎉
The 56th Santa Clara Parade of Champions and Festival brought thousands of residents and visitors downtown to celebrate our city’s proud legacy of Champions, Community, and Front-Line Heroes—and more than 100 years of Sports Legends and Olympians!
From the colorful parade floats and marching bands to the all-new Sports FAN Zone, the energy was electric. As Santa Clara’s official community kickoff to the biggest sports year in our city’s history—welcoming Super Bowl 60 and the FIFA World Cup—this year’s celebration truly set the stage for greatness. Amazing to have the FIFA Countdown Clock in our Sports FAN Zone. We had Player Appearances from Olympian and Co Owner of BAY FC Brandi Chastain, Warriors Alumni Keleenna Azubuike and Earthquakes Player Dwan Juan. Other Sports Teams were 49ers Sponsor, BAY FC, Sharks and Earthquakes in the Zone.
We were honored to have Sutter Health as our Presenting Sponsor, joining us in honoring tradition while championing community wellness. Sutter’s team brought their vibrant energy to the Festival and Sports FAN Zone, hosting interactive booths where families learned about healthy living, took part in fitness challenges, and picked up fun wellness giveaways.
One of the most inspiring moments of the day came during the Opening Ceremonies, when Kevin Cook, Sutter Health CEO/COO and U.S. Veteran, took the stage. He shared his personal story of service and the importance of giving back—reminding everyone that the heart of Santa Clara’s parade has always been about honoring those who serve and strengthen our community.
Sutter Health’s dedication to active living is also reflected in their support for local teams like Bay FC and the San Jose Earthquakes—a perfect fit for a day celebrating both sports and community pride.
