The 54th Santa Clara Parade of Champions: A Multicultural Extravaganza Celebrating Community and Heroes is back!

The historic and much anticipated 54th Santa Clara Parade of Champions and festival is set to take place on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM. Festivities start at 9 AM in the Community Village with vendors, artisans, NPOs and food trucks, ending the day with DJ Macala followed by Volare’s Salsa on the Street with Salson playing from 1:30 until 5:00 PM. This beloved event has something for everyone, a symbol of Santa Clara's vibrant community spirit, and has been a local tradition since 1945. The Santa Clara Parade of Champions originated as a heartfelt welcome home for World War II Veterans, marking the community's triumphant return to a peaceful and unified existence. Since then, it has evolved into an annual celebration of unity, diversity, and the remarkable achievements of our local and regional champions and front-line heroes. Last year over 15k were in attendance!

  • Our Grand Marshals for 2023: Everyone’s Favorites California’s Great America Snoopy, Lucy and Charlie Brown, “Krazy George” aka George Henderson of Earthquakes fame, and Donna De Varona local SCHS grad, Hall of Famer, a twice Olympic Gold Medalist for the US Swimming Team and past Grand Marshal in 1995 for SCPOC!

  • Multicultural Celebration: As the longest-running multicultural event in Santa Clara's history, the Parade of Champions proudly embraces and celebrates the diversity of our community. It brings together people from all walks of life to honor our shared values, heritage, and traditions.

  • Family-Friendly Fun: This event is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages. Bring your family and friends for a day of wholesome entertainment, delicious food, LIVE Music and memorable experiences.

Community and Front-Line Heroes: In these challenging times, it's crucial to recognize and appreciate the dedication and sacrifices of our front-line heroes. The Parade of Champions is an opportunity to show our gratitude to the veterans, teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers who have been instrumental in our community's well-being—the list is long.

  • Community Pride: It's a chance to come together as a community, strengthen our bonds, and take pride in what makes Santa Clara Valley exceptional. This event highlights the remarkable achievements and contributions of local and regional individuals and organizations that make a positive impact on our community.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, October 7th, 2023

  • Time: Opening Ceremonies and Festivities start at 9am includes a Community Village, Booths, Artisans and Food Trucks, Parade at 11 AM, followed by a street dance by Volare Studios and DJ Macala from 1:30 to 5:00 PM.

  • Location: Santa Clara’s Downtown Franklin Square on 1100 Monroe Street between Benton and Homestead Road.
