Santa Clara Parade of Champions: the 2021 Good Neighbor Letter

Updates on how to navigate around the downtown on Parade Day

Our SC Parade of Champions NPO thanks the City of Santa Clara for their support/sponsorship of City services each year. There are many moving parts in our collaboration and the City Staff make it work seamlessly. Grateful for the help of Public works, SCPD and FD and our sponsors like Mission Trails for all they do to make our event safe for our parade visitors each year.

This year's parade route is .76 of a mile and is L shaped starting at Market Street near Buchser Middle School, located at 1111 Bellomy Street, and then it winds down Monroe Street past the Main Event Stage and Judges Table, then turns right onto Benton Street to its end near Alviso Street to the destaging area.

There are several options for parking in the downtown from street parking outside the route in the neighborhoods to free public parking with ADA options at the Parking Garage structure located at 1063 Alviso St at the corner of Benton--thanks to SCU generous support of our community event. Get there early to be closer to the event site. Roads will be closed between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along the route during the parade.

The Main Event Stage is located on Monroe Street in front of Franklin Mall. ADA seating along the parade route is located at the corner of Franklin and Monroe across from the Main Event Stage.

Bring your own lawn chairs for the family or enjoy bleacher seats at $30 each via PayPal at our website. Great views of the parade across from the Main Event Stage. All proceeds from sales of the bleacher seats go to cover our parade costs. We are a nonprofit 501c3--we appreciate your generosity in keeping our parade coming back year after year.

Santa Clara Parade of Champions

Since 1945, the SCPOC has brought Santa Clarans together to showcase their Champions from Sports, Civic and Business leaders, Culture and Arts, to Entertainment and now Tech. The entire city would gather in its Historic Downtown (founded in 1852) to celebrate their heritage, community spirit, and pride every year. It has been one of the longest-running unifying events in the history of Santa Clara. Lifelong Memories were made, and community bonds strengthened for generations to follow.
